Sir Elton John has axed his forthcoming Las Vegas shows after spending time in intensive care to be treated for an "unusual bacterial infection".
The 70-year-old musician will no longer perform any of his scheduled 'The Million Dollar Piano' gigs at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in April and May after he contracted the infection during his recent tour of South America.
The 'Rocket Man' hitmaker returned home to the UK on Saturday (04.22.17) and is now "resting at home" on the advice of doctors after having the infection, which made him "violently ill", removed.
Elton is expected to make a "full recovery" in time for his performance at London's Twickenham Stadium on June 3.
A lengthy statement issued to BANG Showbiz reads: "Elton John "The Million Dollar Piano" performances at Caesars Palace for the months of April/May and Bakersfield, California performance May 6 are cancelled.
We regret to inform you that due to medical reasons, Elton John is forced to cancel his entire performance schedule for the upcoming April/May run of "The Million Dollar Piano" at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Elton is also cancelling his scheduled performance for Bakersfield, California for Saturday May 6.
During a recent, successful tour of South America, Elton contracted a harmful and unusual bacterial infection. During his return flight home from Santiago, Chile he became violently ill. Upon returning to the UK, Elton's Doctors admitted him to hospital, where he underwent immediate treatment to remove the infection. After spending two nights in intensive care followed by an extended stay in hospital, Elton was released from hospital on Saturday, April 22 and is now comfortably resting at home per doctors advice. Infections of this nature are rare and potentially deadly. Thankfully, Elton's medical team identified this quickly and treated it successfully. He is expected to make a full and complete recovery.
"Elton will be returning to his schedule of live performances in Twickenham, England on Saturday June 3rd.
Elton John, Caesars Palace and AEG apologise for any inconvenience this causes ticket holders. (sic)"

He said: "I am so fortunate to have the most incredible and loyal fans and apologise for disappointing them. I am extremely grateful to the medical team for their excellence in looking after me so well."

Kendra Wilkinson to Star in Sex Tips for Straight Women From a Gay Man

Added: 21.04.2017 16:50 | 28 views | 0 comments

Kendra Wilkinson is to star in a play called 'Sex Tips for Straight Women From a Gay Man'.
The 31-year-old beauty has revealed she is to play a lead role in the production in Las Vegas, which is based on the novel of the same name, and Kendra is hugely excited by the opportunity.
She told E! News: "I am going to play a lead role in a play called 'Sex Tips for Straight Women From a Gay Man' and it will be in Las Vegas. I am going to Vegas!
"Being a lead role in a play in Vegas? Like, come on! How much bigger can it get?"
Kendra will star alongside 'Queer Eye for the Straight Guy' actor Jai Rodriguez, with the show set to begin in Sin City on May 27.
The announcement comes shortly after Kendra claimed she is currently at her sexual peak.
The former Playboy model said that since turning 30, she has never felt more erotically charged or confident when it comes to lovemaking, and her husband, retired NFL player Hank Baskett, is "loving it".
Kendra spilled: "As a 31-year-old woman, I'm at my sexual peak. It's just the way it is - it's natural.
"Hank is loving it. He's supportive of it. I'm kind of flirty with guys every now and then but he's like, 'You put me first and I'm good.'"
In 2014, the couple's relationship was rocked when transsexual woman Ava Sabrina London publicly claimed she and Hank had engaged in a sexual act whilst Kendra was eight months pregnant.
Hank, 34, vehemently denied the allegations and Kendra says their relationship is now healthier than ever before.
The 'Kendra on Top' star said: "We're different people than we were years ago.
"You know, you change. But you have to change together. You have to grow together, not apart, and that's the challenge. Right now we're in the healthiest place we've ever been. It's all about each other.
"We want to help build each other and love each other and make sure we're happy. When we went through out big issue that was scattered everywhere, it needed to happen.
"Unfortunately it was a really rough situation but I'm a very faithful person and I think it really worked out for the best."

Added: 07.04.2017 18:30 | 30 views | 0 comments

Jimmy Kimmel has paid tribute to the late Don Rickles.
The 49-year-old American television host gushed about the legendary comedian - who passed away from kidney failure at the age of 90 at his Los Angeles home on Thursday (06.04.17) - in a heartfelt speech, which saw him praise the "funny and sharp and generous" actor as being "too youthful" to die.
Speaking on his show 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' on Thursday evening (06.04.17), he said: "We lost someone that we and I love very much today ... Don Rickles passed away this morning. He was 90 years old. And I know it sounds crazy to say that he was too young - but he was because he was youthful -- he was so funny and sharp and generous and I was fortunate enough to -- not only have Don on this show as my guest - but also to become close to him and his wife Barbara - which was a lot of fun for me."
The dark-hard funny man idolised the 'Casino' star when he was a child, and loved watching the comic mock iconic actors and singers, including the late Frank Sinatra.
Jimmy continued: "I grew up in Las Vegas - so Don Rickles - even when I was a kid - was a very big deal. His name was on the marquee at the Sahara. Then you'd see him with Johnny Carson. Making fun of Johnny - making fun of [Frank] Sinatra."
And Jimmy feels "lucky" he had the chance to meet the star and has credited him as the "greatest talk show guest".
He said: "Sitting behind a desk while Don Rickles made fun of me. It was like being a real talk show host for a minute. "He was a funny guy, I know that's not a news flash.
"I was lucky to know him.
"He was probably the greatest talk show guest of all time."
And the Brooklyn-born writer and producer has shared his "love and condolences" to Don's grieving family and friends.

Nicole Kidman Cried When She Heard The Fighter

Added: 03.04.2017 17:30 | 28 views | 0 comments

Nicole Kidman cried when she first heard 'The Fighter'.
The 49-year-old actress served as the inspiration for husband Keith Urban's song, which also features Carrie Underwood, and Nicole had admitted she was deeply moved when she listened to the tune for the first time.
Speaking on the red carpet at the Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday (04.02.17), Nicole said: "I remember when he first played it for me, and I started to cry ... he writes these things - they come out of I don't know - and they're like beautiful gifts."
Meanwhile, Keith revealed that he wrote 'The Fighter' with Carrie in mind as a potential collaborator and admitted he didn't have a back-up plan if she declined to appear on the tune, which features on his 'Ripcord' album.
He told People: "I would have thought of somebody quick. I would have had to have thought of somebody quick. I think if Carrie said no, we were set with the schedule and everything, we would have just had to leave that song off the record."
Keith said leaving the song off the album would have given him time to find another collaborator, but he is thankful Carrie chose to accept his offer.
He explained: "That would have given me time to find the right person. I wouldn't rush the wrong person in there just to make a record. Thank goodness she said yes."
Meanwhile, Nicole recently said her husband was "devastated" after she suffered physical pain and bruising during filming for 'Little Big Lies'.
The actress was left with real bruises on her back after playing the role of Celeste, a woman who is abused by her husband (played by Alexander Skarsgard), in the HBO series.
And Nicole admitted her real-life husband Keith was less than impressed by her wounds.
She said: "I was really bruised. At one point Keith was like 'I'm going to take a photo of your back because it's covered in deep, massive bruises.' He was devastated seeing it, but then he would say, 'But I have an artist wife!'"
