In the age where (excuse us, boss, while we check our phones and feeds), Kat von D likely just made your lunch break. The brand owner shared that will expand to include lip liners.
This is everything we know so far: the new Everlasting Lip Liners include 30 shades that launch on April 11. According to Kat's captions the "formula is gonna change the lip liner world!" She reveals it will be a retractable pen for easy sharpening, highly pigmented ("like, FOR REALS"), offer 24-hour wear, and stick to her usual ethical standards (vegan, cruelty-free).
"Here's the deal," she wrote. "This unique, creamy formula glides on super easy. You let it dry for a few seconds and it's bulletproof! Never seen anything like it before and it truly is the most comfortable longwear lip liner I've ever used. No waxy-feeling, drying, or cracking! So exciting!"
At noon PT, swatches will be released on , so stay tuned!

Is Kat Von D Changing the Formula of Her Iconic Tattoo Liner?

If you're a hardcore fan of Kat Von D's now-iconic liquid liner, ($20), then brace yourself. Kat herself revealed in a post to Instagram that she has been testing new formulations.
However, it's not clear if she plans to revamp the range entirely or just add to it. She divulged that she's working on a "bullet-proof, long wear, super-matte version of #TattooLiner," adding, "yup, the only animal we test on is me."
Currently, the two shades available of this are Mad Max Brown (a chocolate hue) and Trooper, a black shade. However, both boast a satin finish. An edgy matte carbon black would make a welcome addition to the Tattoo Liner family. We're just imagining the cat-eye possibilities . . .
Stay tuned for any updates on this product as they become available.

Kat Von D Beauty Is Working on New Longwear Formulas, and They Look Insanely Good

Added: 01.03.2017 1:20 | 62 views | 0 comments

Whenever we're having a rough day, we head to our comfort zone, a.k.a. the Instagram feeds of powerful makeup mavens. One such feed is , the VP of Product Development at Kat Von D Beauty. She often posts sneak peeks of upcoming launches from the cult-favorite brand, but two new videos she's shared have us positively spellbound.
Fans of Kat Von D's products know that they are quite durable and hold up to many longwear tests. But it seems that the product development team is working on ramping up its formulas to be basically semi-permanent. In a series of videos, McGuire demonstrated how a series of mysterious swatches WILL NOT BUDGE when rubbed aggressively. (We're not ashamed to admit we watched this video five times in a row in great awe.) She then showed how they could be removed with ($10). Basically, it's beauty sorcery.
Here's hoping that these new products included in that swatch line up get launched soon! We're looking forward to them with bated breath. In the meantime, though, we're watching these videos on repeat.

Kat Von D Is Changing Its Studded Kiss Lipstick Formula - Here's Why That's a Good Thing

Added: 23.02.2017 19:50 | 59 views | 0 comments

A post shared by Kat Von D (@thekatvond) on
If you're a longstanding fan of Kat Von D's Studded Kiss lipstick formula, then have a seat - we have some tough news for you. Kat Von D herself recently took to Instagram to share that she plans on relaunching - i.e., changing - the entire range next year. She explained that she's been working closely with her VP of product development, Nancy McGuire, to take the formula "to the next level."
Don't be too nervous about the reformulation. In addition to keeping the product cruelty-free and vegan, there are some new features to look forward to. Kat rattled off "intense pigment, smooth glide (no dragging!), full coverage, all-day wear," but we're most intrigued by the newest upgrade . . . a creme brûlée fragrance that Kat explained the team "already love[s] so much."
It sounds to us like the new iteration will be a solid bullet form of the basically semi-permanent Everlasting Liquid Lipstick, so we're jazzed about the changes. Anything that makes an edgy pout even more durable and comfortable is a plus! Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.

The Special Reason You'll Want to Buy Kat Von D's 6 Newest Lipstick Shades

Added: 12.02.2017 15:20 | 58 views | 0 comments

All the way back in April 2016, Kat Von D teased six tubes of her beloved Studded Kiss lipsticks. But instead of being wrapped in that classic glossy black packaging, each lipstick's case was meant to match the hue inside. "These new shades of Studded Kiss lipsticks are color-matched to their components and will be launching as a limited-edition set," Kat had explained. However, while they were supposed to launch at the end of last year, the lipsticks never hit shelves.
Fans hadn't forgotten about these prettily packaged products, though. "So annoyed," said . "They said these were out around Christmas and it was delayed for months." But now we can all rest easy knowing that the set - officially named Rock Candy - will be coming to Sephora.com on April 4.
According to the brand's Instagram feed, those six petite tubes all hold brand-new electric shades. Kat Von D's vice president of product development, Nancy McGuire, revealed swatches of the hues - and their names - on Instagram. She called Zero a "personal fav" that Kat dreamed up: "a non-traditional gray with a pinky lilac undertone that looks awesome on everyone." The remaining shades are Ozzy (lavender), Roxy (royal purple), Crush (neon pink), Babe (bright pastel pink), and Ziggy (coral-pink). Stay tuned for more updates on the collection as they become available!
